Coweta Organization for Riding Rehabilitation And Learning

Riding is a partnership. The horse lends you his strength, speed, and grace, which are greater than yours. For your part, you give him your guidance, intelligence, and understanding, which are greater than his. Together, you can achieve a richness that alone neither can. -Lucy Rees

In the fall of 1987 a group of caring citizens formed an organization to provide therapeutic horseback riding facilities and instruction for the mentally and physically handicapped. Operating out of the historic Sewell barn in Roscoe, CORRAL started serving the handicapped in the spring of 1988. There has been continuous renovation of the barn to provide better facilities for the horses and the students. Through help of volunteers, the CORRAL group has completed an office/classroom, restroom facilities, horse stalls, a new riding ring and an indoor/year round riding ring. It is through the volunteers and supporters that CORRAL has made such great strides in such a short period of time. We look forward to future progress with the continued support of the community.
